According to the most popular myth in the Philippines, Tala is one of three daughters born to Bathala, the Supreme God and the originator and ruler of the universe of the ancient Tagalogs, and a mortal woman. Known for aiding in the creation of traditional Tagalog constellations, Tala used orbs of light to guide and protect travelers at night. In Kapampangan mythology, Tala also appears as a deity, revered as the bright star. With this, Carm believed that the name's meaning behind it would also contribute to the hoped-for success of the business. Thus, TALA Connect was born.
